Age of Sparta
Lottery
There are 3 types of Lottery available to play in the game. They are Free, Premium & Deluxe.
The further you progress in the game the more likely you are to receive better prizes from these Lotteries but you can still obtain Boons or Units that you've yet to unlock. Lotteries are the only way to obtain Level V & Boss Units in the game (excluding Event Rewards) so if you want these Units you need to play.
Having your God Unit available will mean that it features as 1 of the 3 Units in the battle line up. You can still fail to progress past the 1st stage but it does seem to make progression through the stages more likely.
All lotteries consist of 8 possible prizes for each play but you will only ever be able to receive 1 of them and always guaranteed to at least receive the prize from the 1st stage. A battle will take place at each stage, winning the battle will give you that prize and the opportunity to win the next prize in the next battle. If the battle is lost your progress will be halted and you will have the option to 'Collect' the current prize or 'Continue' for the chance at winning 1 of the prizes in the later stages.
If your progress is ever halted and you wish to 'Continue' to have a chance at winning one of the later prizes you'll need to spend Gems to do so. However if you don't have the required amount of Gems when you're halted you will either have to buy a Gem Pack or 'Collect' the prize you've been awarded. If you do select 'Continue' you will always win the battle for that prize.
You can postpone your play on the Lottery by tapping the 'Leave' flag in the top right of the screen. This only appears at the start of each stage and disappears rather quickly. Doing this will save your progress and allow you to play at a later time, giving you the opportunity to acquire more Gems if you wish to continue to later stages when you return. This is also useful to do after clicking 'Start' but before the 1st battle starts so you can find out the stats of the prizes available to see if they are worth playing for.
NOTE: This does not allow you to pick your prize by leaving when you've acquired something that you want. You can only collect prizes when your progress is halted.
Free
There is no charge to play this Lottery, however it appears to only available once every day. The cooldown period seems to vary depending on when you play, sometimes showing less than 24h but never anymore than that.
The types of rewards you can receive from this are either Boons or Units. With this Lottery the Units tend to be lower buildable Units varying from Level I to Level IV but it's possible to have Level V Units appear in the prize line up on some occassions. It's highly unlikely that a Boss Unit will appear in this Lottery, if one does it will only ever be a low power one.
Even though this Lottery is free to play if your progress is halted you will need to spend Gems if you want to continue to obtain later staged prizes.
Progression Costs
To 2nd Stage Prize: 2 Gems
To 3rd Stage Prize: 4 Gems
To 4th Stage Prize: 6 Gems
To 5th Stage Prize: 10 Gems
To 6th Stage Prize: 20 Gems
To 7th Stage Prize: 30 Gems
To 8th Stage Prize: 40 Gems
So if playing to 8th Stage and halted at each stage a total of 102 Gems are required.

Premium
To play this Lottery you will need to spend 15 Gems, you can play as many times as you want provided that you have enough Gems.
The types of rewards you can receive from this are either Boons or Units. With this Lottery the Units tend to be any buildable Units varying from Level I to Level IV with Level III & Level IV Units more likely to appear than Level I & Level II Units. Occassionally Level V Units appear throughout the prize line but after reaching a certain level there will always be one at the 8th stage. It's more likely that a Boss Unit will appear in this Lottery than the Free Lottery but they still seem to be those of low power.
Again if your progress is halted you will need to spend Gems if you want to continue to obtain later staged prizes.
Progression Costs
To 2nd Stage Prize: 3 Gems
To 3rd Stage Prize: 6 Gems
To 4th Stage Prize: 9 Gems
To 5th Stage Prize: 15 Gems
To 6th Stage Prize: 25 Gems
To 7th Stage Prize: 50 Gems
To 8th Stage Prize: 53 Gems
So with the 15 Gems to play and if playing to the 8th Stage being halted at each stage a total of 176 Gems are required.
Deluxe
To play this Lottery you will need to spend 30 Gems, you can play as many times as you want provided that you have enough Gems.
The types of rewards you can receive from this are either Boons or Units. This Lottery can be as random as the others at first but once you reach a certain level it seems to follow more of a set pattern than the other two. The first 4 prizes seem to be random and can be anything from Level I Units to low power Boss Units. The 5th stage prize will always be a Level V Unit. The 6th stage prize will be a low power Boss Unit. The 7th stage prize will be a mid or high power Boss Unit. The 8th stage prize will always be a high power Boss Unit, not necessarily the highest but one of.
Again if your progress is halted you will need to spend Gems if you want to continue to obtain later staged prizes.
Progression Costs
To 2nd Stage Prize: 5 Gems
To 3rd Stage Prize: 10 Gems
To 4th Stage Prize: 15 Gems
To 5th Stage Prize: 20 Gems
To 6th Stage Prize: 42 Gems
To 7th Stage Prize: 63 Gems
To 8th Stage Prize: 84 Gems
So with the 30 Gems to play and if playing to the 8th Stage being halted at each stage a total of 269 Gems are required.
